Craft Brewers Alliance, Hawaii's Kona to merge
Craft Brewers Alliance, Inc., the Portland-headquartered partnership of Widmer Brothers Brewing and Redhook, will merge with Hawaii’s Kona Brewing Co. after a nine-year partnership. Under the agreement, Kona will become a wholly owned subsidiary of CBA, which also distributes the beers of Chicago’s Goose Island Brewery. Standing Stone, HUB, Deschutes Bend and PDX pubs among the nine best green brewpubs in the U.S.
The Daily Green website chose nine of the greenest brewpubs in the country and Standing Stone and Hopworks Urban Brewery led the pack, and Deschutes Portland and Bend pubs were also named in a list that, it must be noted, skewed heavily to the West Coast...still, this calls for a pint...
